The Geospatial Information Advisory Group (GIAG) aims to increase coordination on geospatial information initiatives within local government, and between local and central government. To this end, GIAG is currently engaged in a number of projects. The purpose and objectives of GIAG are outlined in the GIAG Terms of Reference.
GIAG's membership is made up of local government GIS managers, and a representative of Local Government New Zealand.
This site contains information about GIAG's membership and projects, as well as online groups used by GIAG. In future, this site will provide regular progress updates on GIAG projects.
